Actually, I’m a moderate independent idiot. I’d stay and chat but I’m on my way to a spotted owl lecture and my local Planned Parenthood office. I’m bringing an arugula and tofu casserole so I don’t want to be late.

God loves all lip-hair equally so these aren’t in order of niceness. They’re just nice. I was going to add a collective entry, 1970’s era porn stars, but I opted for Burt Reynolds instead.

That is the best list I have ever read. I love that Ned Flanders was in the top 10. I wonder who didnt make the list. Tom Selleck deserves to be in the top 3.

I don’t have it in for them and I haven’t read the email. I had heard many good things from people who had eaten there. I was doubtful that a young untrained cook would be worthy of the praise I’d heard but I was prepared to admit that it was better than I’d thought. My list is strictly based upon my experience. Any place can have a bad night but at the prices they charge, I’m not likely to return to give them a second chance.

The place oozes pretension but that is a great marketing device so I don’t fault them for it. Still, pretension sets a pretty high bar so you have to deliver on every dish on every night.

I think that emails are not that reliable a source to judge a person. Let’s face it, Bill Gates was supposed to send some money for every email we forwarded. So much for email content. They can be altered to reflect anything good or bad. So, I decided to go and see for myself. There was nothing close to what has been said in the blogs on a negative tone. Someone certainly has it out for Catie Girls because the same issue surrounding the incedent is being posted. I found the food excellent and the wait staff very pleasant…very attentive. So, I stand by my belief that Catie Girl didn’t write half the crap that has been in that email. Someone has doctored it up to try and discredit an otherwise great place to eat. Maybe they are relatives of someone working at Bennigans hoping to shut down all the competition.

There are also major service issues with this establishment. Have you seen the email going around where Catie replied to a customer complaint and admonished her customer? UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! I think half of Springfield read it.

Harry Warren is one of those unknown masters, maybe because he worked in Hollywood rather than on Broadway. I’m not sure if he worked exclusively for WB but they owned so many of his songs most people know him because Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck sang his songs in Looney Tunes cartoons.

I don’t belive I’d ever heard the name Harry Warren, though I’ve heard plenty of his songs.
